Juneteenth's Green Zone

Help Juneteenth Music Festival to Go Green and engage our community with the benefits. Juneteenth Music Festival partners with several environmentally focused groups to ‘GoGreen’. Festival attendees are educated through example on daily habits and methods to be better environmental stewards.

With the help of volunteers and youth groups who serve as ‘Waste Experts’, trash from the festival is disposed in composting and recycling bins, and vendors may only serve food in eco-friendly containers.

The Green Zone has allowed partners such as Sierra Club, Conservation Colorado, Mo Betta Greens Farmers Market and many others to connect and activate under-informed communities about issues which effect our global environment.

In 2016, the festival successfully separated its trash from compost and recycled tens of thousands of plastic bottles.
