This year’s hashtag #IamJuneteenth represents the effect that inclusion has on the quality of life of every American. When everyone is included and represented, humanity benefits. Juneteenth marks the day that ALL Americans were free and the beginning African American independence.
To help to make Juneteenth a national holiday, submit your blog, video, or creative project about why you think the nation should recognize the end of slavery and to celebrate the culture and achievements of African Americans.
Ways to Participate
Post a few words about your favorite Juneteenth segment from our June 18th program, along with the hashtag, #IamJuneteenth.
Post a “Why I celebrate Juneteenth…” Video.
We’d love to highlight reasons why and how you celebrate Juneteenth. Share what the holiday means to you!
Please include your name and hometown in your introduction.Video submissions should be 1080p video/ 44.1k audio minimum.
